Key Account Manager (m/f/d) for France
Our partner is a globally operating, long-established company, a pioneer and leading manufacturer of decorative high-pressure laminates. They are seeking a Key Account Manager (m/f/d) in France.
Your key responsibilities
- Identify and Secure New Business Opportunities - Drive growth by proactively identifying and converting new opportunities across relevant markets
- Manage and Expand Strategic Accounts - Cultivate and develop key relationships within the DIY, sanitary, and merchant channels, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction and revenue growth
- Negotiate Commercial Agreements - Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing structures, and commercial terms to maximize both profitability and customer value
- Drive Cross-Selling Initiatives - Work in close collaboration with the Core Business Sales & Specification Team to align strategies and capitalize on cross-selling opportunities
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams - Partner with Marketing, Product Management, and Operations to ensure alignment with overall business goals and a consistent go-to-market strategy
- Represent the Business Externally - Act as a brand ambassador at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events, enhancing visibility and strengthening stakeholder relationships
- Monitor Market Trends and Competitive Activity - Continuously assess market dynamics and competitor strategies to inform and adjust the commercial approach
About you
- 5+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Business Development, or Sales within the building materials industry – preferably in DIY, sanitary, or tile sectors
- Strong knowledge of the French market and its distribution networks, especially DIY and big box retail
- Proven track record in B2B sales and key account growth, with an established network in the relevant industry
- Proficient in CRM tools, ideally Salesforce
- Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel extensively across the French region
- Strategic, results-driven mindset with excellent negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills, plus resilience in fast-paced environments
